Dr. Julia Allyn graduated from the University of Sydney Dental School in 2018 and practiced general dentistry in Australia until 2023. She is a local girl who grew up in West Point Grey and attended Lord Byng Secondary, and she is thrilled to be home in Vancouver after ten years of living ‘down under’. Before dentistry, she studied Nursing at McGill University and travelled extensively through Europe and Asia. This experience broadened her horizons and allowed her to appreciate different cultures and perspectives.
Dr. Allyn believes in providing patient-centred dentistry with an evidence-based approach. She enjoys practicing all aspects of dentistry, including fillings, crowns, root canals, and orthodontics. Her focus is to ensure that patients are well-informed, comfortable, and have an overall positive experience.
Dr. Allyn is committed to continuing education and is continually adapting her practice to provide the best and most up-to-date care. When she is outside of the dental practice, Dr. Allyn enjoys running, skiing and hiking, and she is learning to sail again after many years off the water. She is an avid potter and enjoys creating functional wares and experimental pieces for friends and family.
